Helena Ekholm
I grew up in a small village outside Sollefteå called Helgum. My skiing career started in the illuminated skiing track in Helgum. Since I was about three years old I´ve been skiing toghether with my mum or grandpa Jean. My first ski race, Remslespelen in Sollefteå, took place in the spring of 1988. Later when I was around 10 years I tested to shoot air rifle, it was my other grandpa Yngve who brought and later taught me. So with my mothers family full of skiers and my fathers family filled with great shooting skills I 1999 thought it was about time to try biathlon.
